Rough start to the debate for Obama. It was 30 minutes of questions on his gaffes and weakness before Clinton was asked a tough questions (about Tuzla). I guess this is the treatment of the front runner, but ouch. I’ll also say Clinton has made several really low blows and inferences which Obama has ignored. I hope this plays well, because there have been some well executed bites by Clinton.
Also, an interesting note, it seems that Clinton has assumed the personality of Giuliani in that she’s invoked 9/11 in ways that makes Obama look out of touch 3 times so far. With Wright, Ayers, and talking to Ahmadinejad.

I would hope that our country’s current issues would be more important that back biting. Only in Utopia I guess.
Comment by utopianscribbler April 16, 2008 @ 10:24 pmI think Obama’s pardon counter-punch was fantastic but not obvious enough for the average listener. Arguably, the rest of the conversation was too.
Definitely the worst moderated debate yet, though - I’d say. The first 50 minutes sounded like the questions were read off of chain e-mails.
